Congressman Price quickly went through the concerns that we are all well aware of at this point or health care would have passed already. He encouraged listeners to continue to be vocal.

He recommended calling state elected officials and telling them voters will remember their party forcing this on us and vote them all out next November.

"Thirty-four other states are working on it and passing legislation to ban federal health reform mandates and secure health insurance coverage."

Congressman Price raised points like health care destroying the patient/doctor relationship and treatment; unconstitutionally forcing Americans to purchase insurance, and the federal government determining the quality and quantity (yes, that's rationing) of medical services.

The whole process has and continues to be questionable with closed door meetings, Republicans brought in only for photo-op meetings, buying and purchasing votes with sweet-heart deals, Slaughter's 'deeming it done' vote, and the fact that it's bad for Americans in general.

MARCH 17, 2010 Marilyn Barnewall - National High Speed Rail through private enterprise vs. rapid transit that Obama promotes in FL.

TRUTH FOR OUR TIME Radio Show

Helping you live God’s Word in today’s world when the headlines hit home.

Mon – Sat, 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. central time on Praise 940AM in Iowa, northern Mo., and eastern Ne.

Wednesday, March 17, 2010 - Happy St. Patrick's Day

This show with Marilyn Barnewall was pre-empted due to a consolation game in the Iowa High School Boys Basketball Tournament.

GUEST: Marilyn Barnewall was the first female to be named vice president in charge of a major loan and deposit portfolio at Denver’s largest bank. She started the nation’s first private bank, resigned to start her own firm and consulted for banks of all sizes in America and other countries. In June 1989, Forbes dubbed Barnewall "the dean of American private banking." Today she discusses the difference between a High Speed Rail System and rapid transit system and who should build them.

TOPIC: High Speed Rail vs. rapid transit, who should build HSR, and one private investor's plan.

Obama is working hard to make sure the government controls the rail system. According to Marilyn, Americans are getting a bait and switch of sorts when the Pres talks HSR, but proposes only a rapid transit system, unfortunately at HSR costs.

Marilyn speaks of a private American investor who would spend $8 Billion of his own money to build a HSR across the entire country, hiring 1/2 million workers, including returning veterans, in the first 18 months. The beauty of a private investor - it costs taxpayers NOTHING and an investor won't build where it benefits political interest groups, but rather where it benefits or pays back his investment. Which means, he builds where the demands is and that will benefit you and I. Even if he's wrong, it doesn't costs the taxpayer like one more bad government program would.

Marilyn writes this about a private investor's plan:
ONE THING I LIKE ABOUT THE AMERIRAIL HSR PLAN IS THAT THE COMPANY WILL HIRE AND TRAIN OUR VETERANS WHO ARE RETURNING FROM THE MIDDLE EAST. HERE’S WHAT THEIR STATISTICS SAY:

1. WITHIN 60 DAYS; 100,000 NEW CAREER EMPLOYEES,
2. WITHIN 120 DAYS; 300,000 NEW CAREER EMPLOYEES,
3. WITHIN 180 DAYS; 600,000 NEW CAREER EMPLOYEES,
4. WITHIN 270 DAYS; 200,000 NEW CAREER EMPLOYEES,
5. WITHIN 365 DAYS; 300,000 NEW CAREER EMPLOYEES,
6. WITHIN 18 MONTHS; 500,000 NEW CAREER EMPLOYEES

A MINIMUM OF TWO (2) MILLION NEW CAREER EMPLOYEES FOR AT LEAST FIVE [ 5 ] YEARS .....

Marilyn draws attention to the differences in mindset of government and private investors. Government is working to build cars so they are 'crash worthy.' While private investors look to build cars and a rail system that will not crash.

A HSR is much safer, Marilyn said in almost 50 years of high-speed rail, not a single death has occurred. If a train gets close to another train ahead of it, it slows down automatically or shuts down altogether. HSR runs on a grid rather than fuel.

TFOT Follow-up Mike Mears - Concerned Women Political Action Committee

TRUTH FOR OUR TIME Radio program:
Living God’s Word in today’s world.

Monday, March 15, 2010

GUEST: Mike Mears is the State Legislative
Director for Concerned Women For America’s Legislative Action Committee.

TOPIC: He discusses the current political climate, congressional scandals oozing out under the mainstream media’s tight lid, Scott Brown, and 2010 elections. CWPAC endorses candidates who answer their survey favorably on core issues and wants to hear from Iowans who know conservative candidates in congressional and state races.

When I did a Google search on ‘congressional scandals’ several links to Republican scandals popped up dating back to 2006. It seemed only too interesting that even when I specifically searched for Rangel or Massa, the latest in a series of Democratic scandals, links to older stories were still at the top of the list.

Mike Mears said it’s this type of bias that is waking the public and creating the stir of movements like the 9/12 March, Tea Party, and others. Even when I did a direct search for Rep. Eric Massa or Rengal, there were not a lot of links rising to the surface.

There’s the Massa mess

Rep. Eric Massa Mar 5, 2010

The Rangel Wreckage:
American Thinker

Michelle Maulkin reacts to Rangel scandal March 4, 2010

ABC News Blog Feb 28, 2010

Speaker Pelosi promised to clean up the 'swamp,' but things still look pretty murky for most voters. Was Massa a victim of the health care bill and his unwillingness to give? Did she know about Rengal last Oct as some report? Looks like there's still a need for deep cleaning on the Hill.

Scott Brown’s victory has inspired new movement across the country, but voters shouldn’t rest easy or think he can save the day. He may be a no vote on health care, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be sound on all fiscal or any social issues. Voters, especially conservatives tend to think they can relax after one or three good election outcomes. Or too often they expect some ‘savior’ to arise and carry the day, but this time it will take a whole army to save the Republic that is quickly fading.

Mears encouraged listeners to consider running or to find a leader if there is no challenger in a district where the incumbent is not strong on traditional values and fiscal responsibility.

Go to CWPAC or call Mike Mears at 202-408-4941 for more information.

TFOT podcasts have always been made available on www.worldviewradio.com, but are temporarily suspended per KPSZ's new program director. This is a most unfortunate hindrance to the ministry and our ability to teach truth. TFOT is looking for new avenues in finding a solution to this situation so the many listeners, organizations, and guests that utilize this service can once against benefit from this arrangement.

He understands that what is needed is a system that maintains the highest quality care in the world while correcting the failings in the area of insurance coverage and non-medical decision making. Time permitting we’ll discuss back-door deals and other fallout of forced healthcare.
Friday, March 19, 2010 – Jim Hawkins, Professional Educators of Iowa Director gives an update on the education in Iowa and the latest legislative news.
