ICE agents raided a meat packing plant in Postville , IA in May 2008. While most Iowans were pleased that government was finally taking action on illegal aliens and those who seemingly have no respect for US law, Iowans may not be so pleased to learn what has transpired since that raid. Schlussel explains Muslim, Somalian extremists have now replaced those illegal aliens. Debbie explains "these are the same Somalian Muslims who refused to ring up pepperoni pizza and other pig products at Target, refused to take blind dogs and people carrying alcohol in their cabs at the Minneapolis airport, got Tyson Foods to initially replace a paid Labor Day day off with a Muslim holiday etc." Likely due to a large backlash from the public Labor Day has since been re-instated. leaving

One has to wonder why Iowans were not informed of the 150 new semi-legal employees from local news stations or the Des Moines Register, instead of a nationally syndicated columnist like Debbie Schlussel.
