TFOT - Tuesday Jan 13, 2009 Tune in to
Praise 940 and listen live at 11:30 a.m. central time.
Guest:
Dr. Larry Arnn the 12th President of
Hillsdale College. In 1996, he was the founding chairman of the California Civil Rights Initiative, the voter-approved ballot initiative that prohibited racial preferences in state employment, education, and contracting. He has been published widely in national newspapers and opinion journals and sits on the board of directors of several organizations, including the Heritage Foundation, the Army War College, and the Henry Salvatori Center of Claremont McKenna College.
TOPIC: Dr. Arnn discusses the politically correct thinking of the day and the problems with it. Why phrases like, 'you're only hurting yourself' are simply not true. Find out how 'diversity' and 'university' contradict each other. Is it a good idea to 'agree to disagree'?
Many Iowans already enjoy reading the monthly speech digest called Imprimis. Check out the
December edition with Dr. Arnn's article on the art of recovering a Constitutional America.
Be encouraged, but never be complacent.
I will defintely be listening
It is always best to have disagreements. That is how democracy works.
There are things on which there should be no disagreement, however. The right for each have a voice. During my early lifetime, the few had no voice among the many. That's not democracy!
Those who had fallen brhind are now seeking, and receiving their rightful place in society. It can only make us better.
Bless you, and your voice.
Joe
